Taking the middle column: 5,7,8,5,X.
Here,X is the number which need to be identified.

In the Middle column we observe the patern that: 

5+2=7
7+1=8
8-3=5
5-2=3
Here,(+2,+1) can be seen as the numbers are decreasing and (-3,-2) are increasing.

Note: The same type of pattern can be observed in middle row too.

So,The correct answer is 3
